A tropical depression could form next week as an area of low pressure in the Caribbean moves toward the Gulf of Mexico, the National Hurricane Center said early Saturday morning.

A large, slowly-spinning system across the northern Caribbean and southern Gulf of Mexico could develop into something serious, forecasters said.

Area of low pressure-system will develop in the Western Caribbean Sea or the Gulf of Mexico by early next week. All models are showing a tropical system developing then moving north to northwest.
