The US has reached a new trade agreement with China under which all Chinese imports will face a 55% tariff, while American exports to China will be subject to a reduced 10% tariff. This was the result of two days of talks between diplomats from the two nations in London.

U.S.-China trade talks in London this week are expected to take up a series of disputes that have buffeted relations.

China plans to remove tariffs on imports from almost all African countries to further cement already close relations with the continent as it deals with the fallout of US President Donald Trump’s trade wars.
