Deputies and volunteers looking for the 2-year-old Siletz toddler who vanished from his family’s home Saturday have found not so much as a trace of him on land, officials said. Tuesday marked the fourth day since the child went missing while playing in his family’s front yard on a grassy property abutting the Siletz River while out of sight of his parents.

Boats and divers from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and four other departments combed the Siletz River on Monday looking for a 2½-year-old boy missing since Saturday.

Dane Paulsen, 2, is still missing three days after he was last seen outside his home in Siletz, Ore. Paulsen disappeared Saturday afternoon, leading to a search that has covered 311 miles and 682 acres with nearly 100 certified search-and-rescue members on the lookout.
