The Pittsburgh Steelers have watched Russell Wilson regress a little bit during their brutal three-game stretch. Pittsburgh knew it wasn't going to be easy, but they didn’t expect to get dominated for three straight games.

The Steelers' slump continued on Christmas Day with a blowout loss against the Chiefs, and Mike Tomlin didn't hide his feelings about it.

It did indeed. The Steelers offense was held back by poor play from quarterback Russell Wilson and far too many unforced errors by the offensive line. On defense the news was no better with Chiefs players running wide open in the passing game and quarterback Patrick Mahomes with far too much time to make plays.

This motivation is mostly prompted by the Steelers' three-game losing streak that occurred in just 11 days. They lost by double digits to the Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs to drop to 10–6 on the season.
