An explosion at a mining site in Sabon Pegi, within the Mashegun Local Government Area of Niger State, has claimed the lives of four individuals and left several others injured. The blast occurred on Sunday morning as miners were resuming their work at the site.

He said the victim, identified as Fatima Sadauki, lost her life in the explosion, while the six injured persons were rushed to General Hospital Kainji for medical attention.
