On Thursday, laws passed by Israel in October come into effect banning the UN’s Palestinian refugee agency, known as UNRWA, from Israeli territory and prohibiting Israeli officials from any contact with the agency.

The head of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said Tuesday that Israel's impending ban on the UN agency "will undermine" the ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip.

The United States, under the new administration of President Donald Trump, has endorsed Israel's new law that bans the UN agency for Palestinian refugees from operating in Israel.
