Since Team Cherry first announced Silksong in Feb. 2019, waiting for the game has become a meme unto itself. Fans have characterised themselves as clowns for continuing to wait in the absence of any updates, as well as constantly getting excited then disappointed by rumours of news. Many have joked that Silksong will never actually arrive.

Silksong will be released on Sept. 4, according to a new trailer developer Team Cherry uploaded on Thursday.

The reveal gave us a closer look at the gameplay, detailing all the different types of enemies, bosses, and lands you will be dashing through next month.
