Dec 10, 2024 · Scouts BSA is excited to share the planned updates to Merit Badges that will take effect on January 1, 2025. These updates will be reflected in Scoutbook and on our online Merit Badge Hub ( Merit Badges | Boy Scouts of America ) towards the end of December.

You can learn about sports, crafts, science, trades, business, and future careers as you earn merit badges. There are more than 135 merit badges, and any Scout, or any qualified Venturer or Sea Scout may earn any of these at any time.

To access the updated training, log onto my.Scouting.org and search the catalog in the Learn Center of My.Scouting for “Climb on Safely.” For additional information regarding COPE and Climbing programs, please refer to the Guide to Safe Scouting and the Belay on manual.
