Jul 4, 2021 · Just watched both 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, but mostly wanted to talk about the latter This movie is very good, but had potential to be an all time great. Unfortunately, the writing is incredibly inconsistent as well as being written around a huge plot hole.

Nov 14, 2012 · I'd just skip 28 Weeks Later and watch 28 Days Later instead. 28 Days is a pretty good film, puts an interesting twist on the whole "zombie apocalypse" style of film, and has some good characters and scenes. 28 Weeks, in my opinion at least, is a poorly written, badly done pile of crap, and isn't worth the time you'd waste to watch it.

Perhaps some of the dislike of 28 Weeks Later is because of the inflated appreciation of 28 Days Later. "Days" was simply a zombified retelling of Day of the Triffids (1963). Yes, Days was definitely faster paced and had higher production value, but the story was essentially the same.

28 weeks later provides more of a political undertow to the story line. For me it illustrated that no matter how much control we put in place, it only takes one event for a system to weaken. Where 28 days later was more of a thinking movie, 28 weeks later was more of an action movie (imo, of course). But the one thing I LOVE was the beginning.

I LOVE 28 days later, but I prefer 28 weeks later. I think for me it comes down to seeing a functioning society within the world of a zombie apocalypse which you don't see often, you see how the government reacts to the situation in 28 weeks later. Jan 19, 2024 · It seems that Danny Boyles new trilogy won't undo 28 Weeks Later as Canon which I'm happy about. So we are looking at a story set 28 years after the Cambridge Outbreak or 27.5 years after the outbreak in Paris/Continental Europe. Personally I can see them picking up right there. The virus may well be under control to an extent.

Feb 22, 2014 · I loved 28 Weeks Later, almost more than the original. My favorite part of a zombie/infected movie is seeing things go from good, to kinda bad, to really bad. Watching the dominoes fall in 28 Weeks Later is satisfying to me.
