I uninstalled the Game Capture HD software thinking the 4k would be better but I’m having difficulty using it like lowering the sound, it not registering my console, and the frame rate not being the best. Does anyone have the download link to it? I can’t find it anywhere and would prefer using it. Thanks.

Jun 15, 2021 · That isn't true. I use the card to send to OBS and view gameplay in the Elgato software all the time. I just dislike the Elgato software and would like to view gameplay with something else. Using the HDMI out is impractical for my setup because that would mean adding a third monitor to my already fairly busy situation on my desk.

Apr 28, 2022 · The game capture HD software either has crackling audio, would freeze after an hour or would freeze my whole computer to the point I had to hold down the power button. Most problems resolved with 4k capture utility except audio crackling. Everything went away when I switched to OBS. Definitely worth switching over!

Aug 26, 2023 · Now upon trying to use the regular HD60 and plugging it in etc, I see the output image on my monitor so the HDMI passthrough works, however the Elgato Game Capture HD software is still showing my HD60 Pro which is connected internally to my PC as the device and there doesn't seem to be a way to change it? Any advice would be appreciated.

As of writing this, Game Capture software is in maintenance mode e.g. we won't be adding more features to it as our development focus and effort is now on 4K Capture Utility.
