For the cake decorations I like using the same piping material to make everything match seamlessly together. I also do this in advance so when it’s dry you can just pop them out and stick it to your cake directly instead of trying to pipe it on manually. When you make these in batches, it also means you can make a lot and select the most uniform-size ones for your miniature cake.
