NCDHHS to provide pandemic food stamp relief for students

EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) is an electronic system used by the U.S. government to provide food benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). SNAP is a large anti-poverty program that helps low-income individuals and families buy food, with benefits loaded onto an EBT card that works like a debit card. Summer EBT or SUN Bucks is a new program based on Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) that provides a total of $120 in food benefits to families with school-age children during the summer months. ☀️ 📍46 states and territories are participating in 2024 Summer EBT, while the following 13 states are not: Alabama, Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming.
