UPDATE: Jalynda Smith is now in custody for the homicide of her 5-year-old son, according to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Simmons says deputies received a call this morning from Smith's sister, who "shared some concerns about her 5-year-old nephew." Deputies recovered the boy's body from the water about 45 minutes later.
